Lindy's News

March 2008

I was fortunate to be asked to run a Workshop at the Share Annual Conference at the Peebles Hydro on 15th & 16th March. The theme of the conference was ‘Spellbound’ and my workshop was titled ‘The Magic of Self Confidence’ . It was a really great weekend and as well as having  fabulous feedback for the workshop, I met some great people with personalities to match! Thanks to Rod Hunter and Debbie Collins of Share for inviting me to share their weekend.

I was absolutely delighted this month to receive a letter telling me I had been nominated by one of my clients for an Evening Times Local Hero Award for some of the community work I do. Although I didn’t go on to win an actual award, I had a wonderful day at the awards ceremony at the Park Hotel in Kilmarnock on 26th March, where along with my gorgeous daughter Becky, we enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by the presentation of the awards. It was a fabulous day all around and I must admit there were tears! The recipients truly deserved their awards, and well done to each and every one of them.

My Psychology degree at Glasgow University is still going well. It’s really fabulous being a mature student . Everyone is really supportive and I’ve made some lovely new friends. We’re just gearing up for our exams in May and can’t believe our first year is nearly over.

March has seen me spending much of my time in Belfast. As many of you know I travel there regularly, where I’m contracted to provide Life Coaching & Hypnotherapy, by The Bridge of Hope Project which also provides a wide range of other services to people living in north & west Belfast. This is a really worthwhile project which benefits so many people, and I’m very grateful to be a part of it.
