Lindy Irving - Have a love affair with life

My story is very simple with no excuses or opportunity to blame others. Quite simply it was down to me and my ability to truly believe in me. For seven years I have been taking driving lessons and have failed 14 tests! I felt I was capable of driving, but I was in pieces when it came to the actual Ann Gourlay

test. After taking so many tests I was convinced my failure was due to my state of mind and my lack of ability to control my nerves and feel confident and calm enough to deal with this situation.

The night before my driving test I managed to secure an appointment with Lindy. I should point out that Lindy had been attending an awards ceremony all day and only received my call around 5pm that evening. What I find quite astonishing (especially in this day and age) was Lindy changing her plans and organising to see me at 7pm that evening. We had never met before and I was unsure of what to expect or whether any difference could be made. Lindy spent over two hours with me and after making me feel completely relaxed, I was able to understand and appreciate my surroundings.

Lindy tells me and no doubt everyone else she sees, that any success is down to the individual. Maybe Lindy is right, maybe not, although what I do know is that I passed my driving test at 2pm the next day!! After all these years and after so many failures, I truly believe anything is possible. Not only do I operate a successful business with less stress and more control than ever before, I also drive a 'RAV 4'. Not bad for a driving disaster of 5ft 3"!!

Whether Lindy chooses to take any credit or not, the fact remains she was a vital ingredient in me overcoming my nemesis. I have no wish to sound like a sales person although I will be totally honest with those who take the time to read my brief tale - I will be seeing Lindy again, maybe not next week or month or even a year but what I do know is that sometimes we all need a reminder of who we are and what we are capable of and Lindy has both the manner, professionalism and natural ability to make anyone feel better.
