Through innovative and dynamic training sessions, Lindy demonstrates the importance of being actively involved in taking control of our own physical and mental health and shows how, through the use of simple but effective techniques, we can develop and strengthen our resilience, leading to enhanced wellbeing. Lindy has also worked with a number of Mental Health organisations, helping to develop & deliver programs rooted in the Strengths-Based approach to Mental Health recovery, and has helped coach many people living with mental illness to ‘Pick up the Baton’ and move forward in their journey of recovery.
Lindy has delivered a number of inspirational speeches throughout the UK with titles such as “Pick up the Baton -Developing Emotional Resilience through the 5 Steps to Wellbeing”, “Choosing the Road to Recovery”, “Why Do We Fall? – Finding Strength in the Struggle“, “Wellness at Work – It’s Everybodys Problem” among others, and was a recent (2015) TEDx speaker with her powerful talk, “Holy Black Dog Batman! Superheroes vs Stigma” (watch the video here).
In addition to holding an MA (Hons) Psychology from the University of Glasgow, a Life Coaching Diploma, and a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, Lindy has a Certificate in Executive Coaching endorsed by the Board of Executive and Professional Education, University of Cambridge. Lindy is a lecturer in Core and Essential Skills at Edinburgh College, teaching emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to the young students coming through Higher Education, and is currently completing an MSc in Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion at the University of Hertfordshire.
Lindy is also a fully qualified NLP Practitioner, a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS), a member of the BPS division of Occupational Psychology, a member of the Global Speakers Federation, and a professional member of the Public Speaking Association
